Instead of anodizing the modern method of
powder painting will be used for aluminum housing protection.
The powder paining will be applied for all models having aluminum
housings like VG910
family, VG091A or VG095M.

Fizoptika begins production of its smallest 3-axis gyro
VG091-3D. This newest model is an assembly of three single axis
VG091A
completed with 3 channels AD converter mounted in the plastic
70 mm cubic box. The models sends rate data via RS232 serial port.
May be used with recently developed
USB-G tool for direct
connection to PC

Company launched production of USB-G set. The tool makes
possible to connect any Fizoptika digital gyro directly to PC
without additional power supply or digital converter. USB-G realizes
"plug and play" connection of the gyro to computer to acquire
rotation data.

Company completed modification of plastic models to
replace aluminum covers to plastic ones. Due to lower power
consumption the replacement does not affect performance but brings
better bias stability at temperature transients. Currently the
replacement has been done for
VG949P,
VG099D,
VG035P(D),
VG951(D).

European Fizoptika partner -
Sentech Malta Services Ltd. begins pilot production of the
plastic VG949P to confirm potential of recently deployed production
line.

Because of reduced power consumption metal cover of
plastic gyros may be replaced by plastic cover. It's done for models
VG949P and VG910. VG035 will be modified soon.

we begin production of two new models - VG091A and VG095M to replace export sensitive VG941-3AS and VG941-3AM.

From March 2009 new export regulation of dual-use items claims license for the rate sensors with "rate range 500 deg/s and higher". As definition of rate range is not available in regulating laws, Fizoptika models VG941-3AM and VG941-3AS might be considered as subject of export restrictions. Currently available VG071P may be considered as a good alternative for VG941-3AM. For our most miniature sensor VG941-3AS the modification with lower input rate will be promptly developed. Also for each FOG delivery the export permission has to be obtained after contract consideration by export authorities. This results in a certain increasing of contracting (delivery) period.

Sentech Malta Services (Malta) launched new equipped facilities for FOG failure analysis and repair. In the near future it's to be equipped additionally with FOG fabrication facilities to provide with technical support of customer tailored gyros as well as of Fizoptika design gyros.

FOG prototype based on Red SLD and sample of ultra-thin fiber has been assembled on VG949P frame and tested. The results demonstrate that further miniaturization is feasible while scale factor reduction may be partly compensated by shifting to the shorter wavelength
