How to install the USB-RS232 drivers for
Windows XP
1. Connect the USB-RS232
device to the PC.
2. Has the DEVICE SETUP
WIZARD started?
3.1 If the DEVICE SETUP
WIZARD has started:
-
Point to directory: CD-Drive:\uMonitor\USB-RS232 drivers;
-
Press OK;
-
Restart PC;
-
Find the number of the USB-RS232 device (see 4).
3.2 If the DEVICE SETUP
WIZARD hasn't started:
-
May be the USB-RS232 drivers has been already installed;
-
Find the number of the USB-RS232 device (see 4).
3.3 If the DEVICE SETUP
WIZARD hasn't started, but appropriate USB-RS232 drivers hasn't been installed:
-
Connect device which drivers are installed;
-
Find the device which drivers are installed in the "Device manager"
-
Insert CD with the USB-RS232 drivers;
-
Renew old drivers on the USB-RS232 drivers from the CD.
3.4 If the DEVICE SETUP
WIZARD hasn't started, but appropriate USB-RS232 drivers hasn't been installed,
and previous operation (3.3) hasn't help:
-
You must remove wrong drivers and install appropriate one
(see
3.1);
4. Enter into the
"Divice managare" -> PORT(COM & LPT) to find the number of the
USB-RS232 device

For example you can do following operations:

press keys combination <Windows>+<Pause>
-
window "Свойства системы" will appear.
-
choose "Оборудование"
("Hardware"?)
-
choose "Device manager"
-
you can see the number of the USB-RS232 device,
use
this number in programm. }
